Lor Mai Kai (Healthier Version) by Rita Ng


Glutinous rice soak overnight or at least 5 to 6 hours. Cover it when soaking with a plastic seal.

I steam the mushroom , chicken and la cheong together with the glutinous rice after marinate instead of stry frying the rice and ingredients.

The marinate sauce for my ingredients are oyster sauce, light sauce, hua tiao ginger mince and pepper ! The rice I slowly add water and light sauce with mince garlic , then stir the rice mixture before steaming it with the ingredients !

The ingredients are place on the bottom and rice on top ! Steam for 30 mins, cool it and overturn , then serve hot !
