(makes 10 meatballs)
250g minced chicken meat
3 slices ham (cut into small pieces)
30g swiss cheese (cut into 10 little cubes)
1/2 egg (beaten)
2 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp chicken powder
3 tbsp panko bread crumbs
Olive oil
Seasoning
1 tbsp water
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
Steps
1. Mix the minced chicken meat, ham with all the seasoning thoroughly, use chopsticks to stir in one direction till the minced chicken meat becomes gluey.
2. Scoop a tablespoon of meat mixture onto a wet palm, wrap a cheese cube in the centre and form a ball. Repeat process till all minced meat mixture & cheese are done.
3. Refrigerate the ready made meatballs for at least an hour.
4. Lightly coat meatballs with plain flour then dip in egg before dredging with panko bread crumbs (that is already mixed with 1 tsp of chicken powder).
5. Spray a spritz of oil on the meatballs before airfrying them in a preheated airfryer at 180 deg C for 8mins, then at 200 deg C for 5mins, shake the basket regularly to brown the meatballs evenly.
6. Bon appetit!
Note
May also spray some oil onto the meatballs anytime when shaking the basket if you find the meatballs a bit 'pale looking'. Spraying oil helps to brown the surface.
